Direct Hygiene is a leading washroom services company offering low cost contracts on a local and national basis. We provide washroom services such as sanitary bins, nappy and medical waste disposal, air fresheners, sanitisers etc. to over 4,000 UK businesses.We also have several online shops selling B2B a range of quality washroom, hygiene, and janitorial products.

With the opening of our new head office at Tarleton, Lancashire, PR4 6JF there are new additional job opportunities available. We are also looking for charity volunteers to help in our supported charity for saving moon bears in Asia (please see below).

Service Operatives - Throughout our network of over 25 local service teams throughout the UK there are often new job opportunities for experienced service operatives. Previous experience in this field will always be an advantage.

Head Office at Tarleton

Our new head office at Tarleton, Lancashire will be open in September 2008 and there are several new part time and full time job opportunities available.

We offer an excellent working environment and the opportunity to become a part of an excellent team of staff in a fast expanding business. Our standard office hours are 9-5 Monday to Friday. Full and part time positions are available.

Operations Manager - To manage a team of 12 full time washroom service operatives covering the North of England. This position is office based two days week and three days in the field managing staff or visiting customers. A company vehicle is provided. Previous experience of washroom services, contract cleaning, or site services essential. Full time.

Telesales - Contacting businesses to sell company products and services via telephone (telesales / telemarketing). Business development and telesales developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Closing sales deals. Key skills required are: telesales, telemarketing, and business development experience; Motivated and target driven; Excellent telephone manner; Must be able to work in a team environment; Good customer service skills. A competitive salary is available, negotiable on experience. Full time and part time positions.

Accounts - To assist in the running of the companies accounting systems and in the preparation of monthly and year end management reports. AAT level 4 or higher qualifications required for this position and previous computerised accounts experience essential. Full training will be given on the in-house systems using the latest Datafile Software accounting package. Consideration will also be given to trainees with the right qualifications as full training and assistance, including further personal qualifications may be offered. Full time (or part time considered).

Administration - We pride ourselves on putting the customer first and we are looking for an excellent communicator to help in our contract sales and online shop divisions, providing quotes via email and by telephone. Full and part time positions available.

Part time stores / handy person - To look after our store room. Booking in stock, preparing washroom equipment for installation. Making up orders for courier collection. Monthly stock check. 2-4 hours a day, 3 to 5 days a week.

Web designers - To help maintain our many websites, including online shops. PHP / MySql experience essential. Examples of previous work should be included in your CV. Full and part time considered.

Charity Volunteers

Our supported charity is Animals Asia Foundation who are active in rescuing bears from bear bile farms in Asia. This British registered charity have sanctuaries in both China and Vietnam and to date have rescued over 250 bears from lives of torture on cruel bile farms in China and Vietnam. They also have a Friends or Food campaign and work to educate people that dogs and cats are friends.

We actively support this charity and we have been appointed as the official Lancashire Animals Asia Support Group. Please visit the offiicial website at www.animalsasia.org and our own dedicated website at www.moonbears.co.uk.

With our status as the local regional branch we promote awareness and raise funds for this very hard working charity, now in their 10th year.
